But instead of sliding demurely out of its door, Geri decided to haul herself through the window and up on top of the posh motor in a very unladylike fashion.

The 39-year-old mum of one then grabbed hold of a loudspeaker to officially announce her arrival.

Dressed in a short royal blue lace detail dress with open back and white ankle boots, Geri then flashed her knickers to the crowds as she was helped down.

Geri's fellow judges failed to make such a big impression as they greeted fans on a red carpet at the Echo Arena.

Tulisa Contostavlos made the X Factor sign with her arms as she strutted her stuff in a floral-print dress with a black and gold studded belt.

Gary Barlow appeared relaxed in a blazer and T-shirt.

Irish charmer Louis Walsh glided down the red carpet in casual jeans and a shirt and jacket.

Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack also showed off her best X as she arrived in a half black, half floral dress.

Geri has joined the ITV1 show as a guest judge for the auditions.

But show sources have said it is actually a "trial run" for the permanent position.

If she proves herself, Geri will land a £400,000 contract and take over full time from the Boot Camp stages later this summer.

A senior show source said: "Geri is not just a guest judge — she is our judge-in-waiting.

"We want her to do it and she wants to do it. We will be watching her like a hawk at Liverpool and fingers crossed it will go well and she'll be signed.

"We're not talking to anyone else."

The panel was left with a spare seat after US singer Kelly Rowland left the show.
