Tulisa puts UK success first - Sky News Australia

Updated: 18:22, Monday May 7, 2012

Tulisa Contostavlos wants to crack the UK before tackling America.

The 'Young' singer insists she has no plans to move Stateside in the immediate future as her primary concern is establishing her solo career in Britain, and she doesn't think she would cope well away from her hometown of London.

She said: "I'm not moving. Obviously, one day I'd like to crack the States musically, but I've got to crack the UK first. London is my place. I don't want to be anywhere else. I wouldn't survive ."

However, Tulisa admits she is finding the press attention she has received since being a judge on UK TV show 'The X Factor' quite overwhelming and liked it when she was less well-known.

She told new! magazine: "My world sort of flipped upside down on its head, a lot of ways for the better and in some ways a bit more stressful. It's been an amazing journey, a roller coaster. I'm just grateful for all the blessings that I've had.

"I preferred it before when it was here and there. I'm not saying I can't handle it now but it comes to a point where you don't like it any more. I want to just be able to go anywhere without having a load of paparazzi behind me. That's frustrating. You've just got to live in the moment and ignore it because you'd just drive

yourself crazy, wouldn't you?"
